CAESAR, trophy of Gallic arms, axe surmounted by animal's head on right (RRC 452/2; Sydenham 1009), together with another AR Denarius, military mint in North Africa, 47-46 BC, diademed head of Venus right, rev. CAESAR, Aemeas moving left, holding palladium and carrying his father Anchises on his back (RRC 458; Sydenham 1013; Sear, Imperators, 55), the first with some scratches and possibly plated, almost very fine (2)
