Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Groat, 1.84g, First issue, 1559-60, m.m. lis, crowned bust left, wire-line inner circle, rev. shield over long cross fourchée, wire-line inner circle (N.1986; S.2550), slight edge knick near 10 o'clock and with the occasional surface flaw but essentially a well presented piece being full and round, pleasantly tidy and with a dark tone, very fine, particularly rare variety with wire-line inner circle only
