Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Angel, 5.07g, Fifth issue, 1578-1582, m.m. latin cross over greek cross both sides, St Michael spearing Satan, rev, shield within ship, bowsprit to right, cross above dividing e and a rose (Schneider 768 - obv. mintmark overstrike only; N.1991/1; S.2525), a field find with deep scratch to left of angel, some light soil deposits in legend, basically sound and presentable with St Michael's facial features sufficiently clear, very fine and a very rare piece with overstruck mintmarks both sides
