Ireland, James II (1685-1691), Crown, 13.38g, 'Gunmoney' coinage, 1689-1691, 1690, overstruck on large size 'gunmoney' halfcrown, king on horseback left, rev. four crowned shields cruciform, crown at centre, ano / dom 16 / 90 in angles (S.6577), lettering slightly off-flan in areas, some light wear to the high points but a pleaing equestrian portrait and generally tidy, well struck and good very fine

It is very difficult to discern any evidence of an undertype on this piece.
