Elizabeth I (1558-1603), Sixth issue, 1583-1600, Sovereign, 15.36g, m.m. escallop, queen, crowned, seated facing holding sceptre and orb, portcullis at feet, back of throne with pellet and annulets on pillars, pellet stops, rev. shield over double rose, pellet stops (N.2003; S.2529), pierced and plugged at 2 o'clock, dig on robe and above shield on reverse, some good detail remaining on sovereign and otherwise a well-struck piece, good very fine
