Edward IV (first reign 1461-70), light coinage, 1464-70, Ryal, 7.66g, London, m.m. sun/sun, king crowned, standing facing in ship holding sword and shield, rose on hull, flag on which letter e at stern, quatrefoil after franc, rev. rose on radiant sun over floriate cross, crowned leopards in angles, trefoil and double trefoil stops, large fleurs in spandrils (N.1549; S.1950), flan lightly crimped and with a little double striking to areas of obverse, however, a most pleasingly round, full and well-centred flan, the king's face highly detailed, good very fine or betterP>
