Aethelred II (978-1016), Penny, 1.57g, First hand type, Norwich, Swertinc, diademed bust right, rev. +speartinc m-o norÐpi, hand issuing from cloud dividing alpha and omega, the sleeve of East Anglian style (N.766; S.1144), metal slightly porous under magnification but a generally pleasing piece, well-centred and with full legends, good very fine, the moneyer Swertinc rare at the Norwich mint in this type with just one specimen in the EMC/SCBI databases
