(x) Anglo Saxon, secondary phase, c.710-c.60, Sceatta, 1.00g, series G, type 3a, diademed bust right, cross pommee before, pelleted border around bust, rev. standard with pellet within annulet in centre, saltires around with dispersed pellets (Abramson p.90; N.43; S.800) a little pitting to bust and a small amount of surface deposit to reverse but generally a most pleasing piece with a sharp portrait, nearly extremely fine
