                        Aethelstan (924-39), Penny, 1.35g, 'Church' type, York, Etram, +aedelstan rex, cross pattée within inner circle, rev. d / is / etram / m-o in three lines, the first divided by depiction of Anglo-Saxon church or tower flanked by saltire crosses, ground line below, large pellet to left of Church (Blunt BNJ Vol.XLII, No 440; CTCE p.294; N.683; S.1100), some stable surface delamination on reverse, the rest of the coin sound and in high quality silver, very sharply struck in places, nearly extremely fine
