1192 Sergeant James Lockhart, born Beith, Ayrshire, 1841; enlisted in the 93rd Foot, March 1859; transferred to the 26th Foot, April 1866; promoted Corporal, October 1868; Sergeant, November 1875; discharged, March 1878, after 19 years' service.
