Surgeon Major John Bowmer Collison was appointed Assistant Surgeon, Bengal Medical Establishment, January 1855; his postings during the Indian Mutiny included Cawnpore and as a Civil Surgeon at Durriabad; advanced Surgeon, January 1867; died September 1883.
