4578 Private Joseph Whiting, born Bermondsey, London, 1875; enlisted Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry, 1894; advanced Corporal, 22.7.1902; discharged 12.8.1910, after 16 years service with the Colours; died of Pneumonia, 14.10.1910.
