3363 Hospital Sergenat John Hynd, served with the 42nd Royal Highlanders in India during the Mutiny (entitled to medal with clasp for Lucknow), and with the Army Hospital Corps during the Ashantee Campaign 1873-74 (entitled to medal with clasp for Coomassie); awarded Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, August 1873.
