Private Lachlan Kennedy, born Inverness, January 1779; enlisted in the 42nd Royal Highlanders, 1797, and served in Captain John Raitts’ Company in Egypt; discharged, May 1802, in consequence of ‘a rupture and wounds received in Egypt.'
