S-7743 Private Arthur Crawford Mann, born Bishop Auckland, Co. Durham; enlisted in the Royal Highlanders and served with the 2nd Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 30.9.1915; killed in action in the Persian Gulf, 14.3.1917, and is commemorated on the Basra Memorial, Iraq.

S-9888 Private Alexander Michie, served with the 9th Battalion, Royal Highlands during the Great War on the Western Front from 24.10.1915.
