Waterloo 1815 (William Cheatley, 2nd Batt. 3rd Reg. Guards.), very fine, with later steel clip and split ring suspension

Private William Cheatley, born Holland, Warwickshire; enlisted 3rd Foot Guards, September 1813; served in Lieutenant-Colonel Keate's Company during the Waterloo Campaign, 16-18.6.1815; discharged, August 1821, in consequence of 'a reduction in the Regiment and enlargement of the right ankle.'
