Auction: 14USA - Spink Shreves September 2008 Collector's Series
Lot: 1742

Impressive mint collection of many hundreds of stamps neatly hinged on album pages, from the 1851 Issue to the 1930´s, there is useful duplication throughout, including shades and other varieties, which adds substantially to the total value, there are some better classic issues, but the heart of the collection is in the regular issues from the Large Bank Notes through the Washington-Franklin issues, in the Bank Notes issues there are often three to five of each stamp, including on the 6c and 10c values, the Small Bank Notes go to the 90c, with some duplication (mostly the 2c values), both Bureau issues to $1.00, again with duplication of the lower and middle values, the 1902 Issue to $5.00, solid Washington-Franklins, with dollar values, coils, a few blocks, etc., plus later regular issues, also a worthwhile group of early commemoratives and some back-of-the-book issues, the early issues are a mix of o.g. and no gum stamps, later nearly all o.g., a large percentage of the lot is in fine-very fine condition; overall an exceptionally fresh and clean lot that should represent high commercial value.
