#189, 15c Red orange, a phenomenal mint single, featuring an incredibly deep prooflike color and impression that is unlike any other we have seen, plus it is impeccably well centered within extravagantly large margins, pristine white paper, immaculate o.g. without a single bend or skip, never hinged, an extremely fine gem that is certainly among the finest and most eye appealing examples extant; 1989 PF certificate for a block of four, this being the top right stamp, a 1993 PF certificate for the single, and a 2007 PSE certificate (XF-Superb 95; SMQ $7,350.00).
