#71, 30c Orange, the spectacular quality used example offered here certainly must be regarded as one of the finest, if not the finest, used examples of the Thirty Cent 1861 issue in existence, as this stamp features multiple extraordinary physical qualities that would be next to impossible to improve upon, including huge perfectly balanced margins all around that are unheard of on this tightly spaced value, gorgeous intense color in a strikingly deep shade, plus its impression is strong on bright fresh paper, beautifully postmarked with a light central strike of a radial cork cancel, extremely fine; a superb gem for the most fastidious collector of classic United States stamps in outstanding condition; 2005 PF certificate, as well as 2001 and 2006 PSE certificates (the latter graded Superb 98; SMQ $5,450.00); the highest grade awarded to any Scott #71, being one of only two to have been given this impressive grade.
