1c and 2c Trans-Mississippi imprint and plate number pairs collection, an amazing holding of 28 1c and a remarkable 229 2c Trans-Mississippi imprint and plate number pairs, being an attempt to collect each possible plate number in both the top and bottom positions, this effort having been successful with the 1c and nearly so with the 2c value, all are in mounts on album pages mounted in plate number order, naturally condition and hinging varies, there are some small faults noted as well as some off center, however most appear to be fine to extremely fine, some never hinged or containing never hinged stamps, but most seem to be o.g., l.h. or h.r.; a rare opportunity for the specialist; cataloged simply as all being hinged.
