#26, 3c Dull red, Ty. II, tied to Kansas Territory advertising cover by "Tecumseh/K.T./Oct 25" balloon c.d.s., with blue embossed cameo corner card of "H.W. Martin,/Tecumseh, K.T./Fancy Dry Goods,/Clothing,/Boots, Shoes,/Hardware & Groceries.," small piece missing from top right, not affecting stamp, otherwise a very fine cover; Tecumseh came to a little prominence in the territorial period but faded away to nearly nothing as soon as Kansas became a state in 1861; this handstamped marking is rare and published in his "Somewhere in Time."
