P.O.W. and Flag-of-Truce collection of six covers, includes officer's cover from Libby prison in Richmond with enclosure and hand colored Magnus song sheet illustrating the prison, with Old Point Comfort cancel and "Due 3" h.s to Philadelphia, three covers from or to Federal prisons each with interesting enclosures and posted to Northern destinations including Johnson's Island in Sandusky, O. with oval censor h.s., Fort Warren in Boston, and an inbound Flag-of-Truce cover to Point Lookout in Maryland, also civilian Flag-of-Truce cover to the North via Fortress Monroe with CSA #11 tied by Richmond c.d.s. and U.S. #65 postmarked at Delaware City, Del; finally an interesting cover to Alexandria, Va. (that city' duplex on the reverse) from Stapleton, N.Y. with #65 tied, "Not Found" h.s and in red ms. "Returned/Killed in Battles of the/Wilberness's of Va.", very attractive and scarce, condition overall is fine-very fine; a scarce lot of Civil War postal history with interesting content in the letters.
