#3, 2c Green, five singles ranging from just cut into design to large full margins, two stamps with small edge tears, entirely in large margin or nearly so, all neatly tied to legal-size cover to Richmond, Va. by three well struck "Marietta/Geo./Apr 16" c.d.s., at left marked "Due 10" in ms., docketed on the reverse "S. Isidon Guillet/Lieutenant & Post Adjutant/Marietta/AP 11 64", cover with normal wrinkles but marvelous intact and a very fine usage; this value was intended for local and printed matter usage but was only on rare occasions pressed into use for the normal letter rate and particularly rare being charged postage due for a double rate cover which is certainly unusual being sent by a military officer in charge of postal matters.
