#499a, 2c Rose, Ty. I, vertical pair, imperforate horizontally, left margin pair of this frequently faked error, o.g., small h.r., light natural wrinkle and centered into the design at left; not much is known of this error but there certainly can not have been more than one pane as this is seen even less often than the similar 1c error, on the reverse in pencil is noted "cut from a plate No. 7945 block of ten, S.S. Barrett"; a very rare item for the Washington-Franklin specialist.
