#15, 1859 5c Vermilion, horizontal pair, right stamp with portion of top right corner missing, tied by "Hamilton, C.W./Au ?, 67" duplex postmarks to oblong cover to Napa City, California, red straightline "Paid/Canada-10-Cent." exchange office handstamp, light overall toning, otherwise a fine usage paying the reduced 10c rate to California effective 1 July, 1864; one of only two examples of the 5c Beaver to California recorded by Charles Firby.
