#8a, 1857 8p Scarlet vermilion, diagonal half used as 4p, lower left half, large to full margins on both sides, just tied to an 1860 folded letter by a oval grid cancel addressed to Baltimore, light red "St John´s Newfoundland/OC 24 1860/Paid" c.d.s. cancel to left, ms. "Mail via Halifax" directive at top, clear "5/Boston Br. Pkt./Nov 4" entry c.d.s. at bottom left, couple typical file folds well clear of bisect, a fine and choice usage from the "Tucker" correspondence; 1987 Greene Foundation certificate (Unitrade C$6,500.00).
