#1a, 1851 2rs Blue, Ferslew printing, plate I, position 81, type 7, gem quality single boasting incredibly large and even margins all around tied to 1851 folded cover by a beautifully struck five-ring target cancel, perfectly struck Foot Post "F:6 1/7 51 P:" bluish green oval postmark to left of stamp, vertical tear across face at left expertly repaired and well away from postmark and adhesive, extremely fine and choice; a phenomenal example of this scarcely seen and offered first printing on cover.
