#1, 1851 3p Red on laid paper, attractive horizontal pair with easily seen laid lines, large to full margins all around, bright fresh color and a strong impression, nicely struck target cancels on each stamp, minute scissor cut at top between stamps, extremely fine; a scarce pair to find so choice; 1985 Greene certificate as #1a (red shade then); ex-Nyman (Unitrade C$3,200.00 as singles).
