This notes for use at the canteen run by W.W.Runciman & Co
(Ineson 191), after the capture of Boers at the battle of Elandsgaate on the 21st October 1899 it was realized that no provision had been made to house prisoners of war and a camp was established at Belle Vue, Simon's town, on the 4th February 1900. This camp thus the first prisoner of war camp for the Boer War. About very fine and very rare (Ineson ER)
