1917 (1 Sept.) envelope registered to Major Gibbons at the "North West Gate of City Baghdad", bearing Pictorial ¼a. on 5pa. dull purple horizontal pair and overprinted with dated crescent ½a. on 10pa. green (2), all neatly cancelled by double-ring datestamp, manuscript registration number at foot and watery censor handstamp below the adhesives; ½a. pair with perfs. trimmed off at left and ½a.
