1941 (27 Apr.) envelope (opened-out) registered to Bombay sent on one of the last mails before the border was closed and bearing, on reverse, 3a. (apparently lifted and replaced slightly out of position) and 1r. cancelled by C38a c.d.s., censored with local tape tied by several strikes of the "basra/reg" bi-lingual intaglio seal handstamp, boxed Basra censor cachet in local script, further red on white censor tape and cachet, etc.; slightly truncated and with other faults though a fascinating item.
