1942 (4 Jan.) - 1945 (27 Oct.) Yates correspondence (16 items) including 1942 (4 Jan.) envelope from UK to Capt. Yates showing framed "it is regretted that/this item could not be/delivered at the/address stated" in violet; 1942 (Sept.) South African Red Cross Society envelope and letter eventually received 12 August 1944; 1943 (10 Mar.) War Office letter stating Capt. Yates interned in "Borneo Camp"; 1943 envelope to Capt Yates in Borneo and 1943 (Sept.) card from Capt. Yates; 1943 (Sept.) envelope from South Africa to Capt. Yates; 1944 (Sept.) card from India to Capt. Yates received 23 Sept 1945 when he had been sent to Labuan Rest Camp; 1945 (Sept) Australian Red Cross Society envelope to UK with "passed free/of postage" h.s.; and three cables sent home after liberation.
