1856 (20 Mar.) entire docketed from Surabaya, Dutch East Indies to Amsterdam, marked "Via Marseilles", bearing 1854 2a. green strip of four (touched in places) affixed inverted at foot and cancelled by small circle of dots applied in transit at Singapore, showing red Marseilles entry datestamp with, on reverse, Singapore P.O. (part missing due to wax seal removal) and arrival (28.4) datestamps, both in red. Very rare, one of six covers we recorded cancelled in transit from the Dutch East Indies. B.P.A. Certificate (2014).
