1897-98 ½d. (6) and 2d. (2) stationery cards from Assistant Surgeon Stalkartt, a member of a small squadron of men on board H.M.S. Mosquito or Herald patrolling Lake Nyassa, to his mother at Southsea, Hants, one 2d. card headed Port Herald and cancelled at Chinde, the other 2d. card and ½d. cards (each with an additional stamp removed) from Chiromo and cancelled by "tshiromo/b.c.a." c.d.s. or in transit at London, and offered with a group of contemporary photographs of the vessels (a couple large size); also undated BSAC 2d. card, headed "H.M.S. Dove. Lake Nyassa" to England and chromo-lithographed unused postcard printed by the Universities Mission to Central Africa showing S.S. Charles Janson & Patience at Likoma. A fascinating group
