1868 (1 Nov.) envelope from London "via Panama" to Dunedin, bearing 1867-70 6d. lilac Plate 6 wing-margin strip of three (small faults at top) each cancelled "34" in oval of bars and showing "deficient postage 6d/half fine.... 3d./9d" handstamp below, these figures deleted, the presumption that the Half Fine was insufficient, and replaced with manuscript "1/-" at left, the reverse showing "posted since/7 30 last night" and arrival (24.12) c.d.s.
