1862 (17 Sept.) envelope (stamp floated off) from Dunedin to Bristol, showing a good strike of the "Saved from the wreck of /the Colombo" framed handstamp (Ellott Type 1) partially over-cancelled by London Paid c.d.s. (31.10), despatch and arrival (31.12) c.d.s. on reverse. Photo

Note: The Colombo was wrecked on a coral beach off the Minicoy Island (Indian Ocean) on 26 August
