BB, small to large margins and showing a portion of the adjoining stamp at left, tied to entire letter, dated 25 Dec. 1840, by a Maltese Cross, struck in a mixture of red and black inks, red framed Dumbarton (25.12) despatch and Glasgow (26.12) arrival datestamps on reverse; filing folds clear of the adhesive.
