1958-71, neatly displayed and written-up collection of Wilding regional issues housed on four Devon albums, contained in a carton, with cylinder blocks, varieties, unusual covers with better postmarks, frankings registered/recorded delivery, and including Harrison and Sons presentation cards/folder (3, one cancelled by Torquay Congress commemorative h.s.), hand-illustrated first day envelope with all six regional 3d. stamps, Guernsey 1958 (18 Aug.) 3d. used on day of issue signed on reverse by the designer E. A. Piprell, Isle of Man 1963 (17 May) 3d. chalky paper cylinder block of six, 1969 (26 Feb.) 4d. vermilion left marginal block of six (2 x 3) with sheet number misperforated affecting the left four stamps, Jersey 1958 (18 Aug.) 3d. used on day of issue signed on front by the designer W. M. Gardener, left marginal vertical block of twelve (2 x 6) with spectacular "missing colour" printing error resulting from inclusion of foreign body on the web, affecting vertical rows 1,2 stamps 5 to 9, top left corner strip of four with pre-perforating paper fold affecting the first stamp, Scotland 1958 (29 Sep.) 6d. misperforated due to misfeed, 1968 (12 Dec.) 1/6d. top marginal vertical strip of four with progressive dry print affecting top two stamps, Wales 1958 (18 Aug.) 3d. vertical strip of five progressive dry print affecting lower two stamps, a range of Talyllyn/Ffestiniog railway covers (18); also a stockbook of cylinder blocks and three further albums of mainly covers, some commercial. An interesting lot well worth closer inspection. (thousands)
