MB, good to very large margins all round, tied by a red Maltese Cross in an orange-pink shade, to entire letter, dated 20 May 1840, from Chelmsford to Fenchurch Street, with despatch d.s. in the same colour on reverse; light pressed filing fold at top, crossing the adhesive, and a small portion of the front of the entire has been replaced, otherwise fine and a most attractive May date cover.
