1844 two page letter sheet, franked 1841 1d. red with black Maltese Cross cancellation, with Paddington c.d.s. and red London d.s., both of 14 Feb. on reverse, containing a hand made and coloured Valentine, with message "Is thy heart from anguish free Dost thou ever think of me", with a central panel depicting a dove carrying a letter, opening to reveal a small butterfly and flowers "cob web", lifting to reveal a pierced heart; soiled or a trifle stained on the address panel but charming and rare.
