1817 (11 Jan.) entire letter to London with "belfast/80" mileage marking, "post paid" in scroll and "paid" tombstone datestamp, all in red; vertical filing fold clear of the markings, fine, attractive and with interesting contents: "Honourable Sir with submission we take the freedom of writing to your honour concerning a troublesome matter..." (a tenant, who had forged bills, was apprehended and committed to goal). Photo
