1928 (29 Aug.) 1d. stationery envelope registered to London uprated with 4d., the envelope was handed in Kafanchan where a blank registration label was applied and tied by manuscript "kafanchan", from hence it was carried on the railway to Kaduna where it was put on the Western line down to Lagos, the stamps cancelled by "kaduna/nigeria" double-ring d.s. and showing, on reverse, Kaduna c.d.s. and oval Registered datestamps and Lagos transit c.d.s.
