1943 (14 July) an envelope registered to California showing, on the reverse, K.G.VI 6d. tied by type D4 c.d.s., a further strike on the address side along with registration label handstamped "duke town/calabar", there are a fine array of backstamps including a fine strike of "parcels/calabar - nigeria" type PP8; self adhesive censor seal at side. An unusual and interesting cover being the earliest recorded examples of the Duke Town c.d.s., registration label as well as the Parcel c.d.s. Also 1951 (27 Feb.) envelope registered to Germany bearing K.G.VI 3d. and 1/3d. tied by a faint strike of the type D4 c.d.s. with the boxed registration handstamp alongside, various backstamps and the latest recorded use of the datestamp.
