1861 (19 Feb.) stampless envelope (with enclosure) from Shanghai to San Francisco, endorsed "Direct to San Francisco via Hong Kong" and showing, on reverse, red forwarding agents' cachets of Wetmore, Cryder & Co., Shanghai and Koopmanschap & Rosman, Hong Kong and, on address side, Wetmore, Cryder & Co. oval in black (none recorded by Rowe), "ship/6" handstamp and San Francisco arrival datestamp (4.5); some minor soiling though a very remarkable cover with these three forwarding agents' cachets.
