1900 (8 Jan.) envelope "via Lourenco Marques" to Belgium, bearing ½d. green and 1d. rose-red and green (2) sharing two fine strikes of the elandslaagte/z.a.r." oval-framed datestamp with "z.a.r." excised, two days after the major offensive on Ladysmith, Pretoria (10.1) and Gent (22.2) c.d.s. on reverse; a rare and spectacular overseas usage.
