Gaumont-British Picture Corporation Ltd., 5½% cumulative first preference shares of £1, 19[33], red, together with 10 shilling ordinary shares, 19[28] and 19[29], the latter with capital overprinted from £2,750,000 to £3,750,000, green and black, these printed by Waterlow & Sons, all with ornate border, very fine. (3)

This company was the British branch of the French film company Gaumont. Gained independance in 1922 following Isidore Ostrer's acquisition of the majority of shares. The company's Lime Grove Studios produced Alfred Hitchcock's 1935 version of The 39 Steps, and The Lady Vanishes in 1938. Acquired by the Rank Organisation in 1941.
