Exchequer Vellum Tally, document for two amounts of £13 and £6, 1665, made out to Jeremiah Snow, manuscript on vellum, signed by one of the four tellers of the Exchequer, very fine and scarce.
Jeremiah Snow was a Goldsmith banker trading in The Strand in 1660. Like many in his trade, he lent money to the Exchequer so when Charles II put a stop in the Exchequer he lost almost £60,000. He later received a bond from the King granting him an annuity of £3,586 17s repesenting about 6%.
