Golf Illustrated Ltd., £50 debenture, 1933, no.34 of 60 issued, ornate 'tile' style border, olive green with green underprint, embossed seal bottom right, with counterfoil, together with Stableford & Co. Ltd., debenture for £100, 1923, no.298, in the name of Frank Stableford of Wallasey, ornate scrolled border, blue, embossed seal bottom left corner, both very fine. (2)

Although Stabelford & Co were railway carriage builders based in Coalville, Leicestershire, frank stableford was the inventor of a golf scoring system using points rather than strokes played.
