Carnatic, struck a coral reef off the Gulf of Suez, envelope to India, stamp floated off, despatch c.d.s. of Aug. 3, on reverse "Recovered from wreck of the "Carnatic"" label, red Madras Delivery datestamp of 20 Nov. on the front; the envelope, as usual, battered and damaged but rare.
