1931 indentures (2) relating to the sale of Low Ground Estate from Countess Cowley to Thomas Deane and Arthur Falconer; the first dated May 1931 bears Leeward Islands revenue stamps for 6d. (3), 1/- and 2/- (3) plus 1½d. and 3/- postage stamps plus St. Christopher and Nevis £1 embossed stamp, the second, dated November 1931, bears Leeward Island embossed stamps of 10/-, 2/- and 6d. plus St. Christopher and Nevis embossed stamps for 5/- and a 1d. stamp; some age faults though interesting documents
Note: Lord Le Despencer owned the plantation at least until 1871, when it was known as Lower Ground. In 1920 Low Ground (491 acres) was owned by Clare, Countess Cowley
